This Product Safety & Use Guide applies to physical products purchased through Pettels, operated by Fadersoon LLC. It provides general information and does not replace the instructions, warnings, specifications, or labels supplied with a specific product.
1. Review the product information
Before ordering or use, review the product page and any supplied manual, label, packaging, installation instructions, care information, dimensions, power requirements, weight limits, and warnings. Use a product only for its stated purpose and within the specifications provided for that item.
2. Inspect before each use
Check the product and its components for missing parts, cracks, fraying, loose fittings, damaged controls, exposed wiring, weakened suction, unusual odours, deformation, or other visible damage. Do not use a product that appears damaged, incomplete, incorrectly assembled, or unsuitable for the intended use.
3. Heated and electrical products
- Use only the power source, adapter, controller, voltage, and settings specified for the product.
- Keep electrical components dry unless the product information expressly states that they are water resistant or washable.
- Do not use a damaged cable, plug, controller, heating element, or power supply.
- Do not fold, crush, cover, or place heavy objects on a heated product in a way that may trap heat or damage internal components.
- Stop use immediately if the product becomes unusually hot, emits an unusual smell, sparks, changes shape, or operates inconsistently.
- Do not use while sleeping or unattended unless the specific product instructions expressly permit that use.
4. Massage and acupressure products
Massage and acupressure products are sold as general comfort and wellness items. They are not medical devices unless the specific product page expressly states otherwise, and product information is not medical advice.
Use gradually and stop if you experience pain, numbness, dizziness, skin irritation, unusual discomfort, or another adverse reaction. Seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional before use when you have a health condition, recent injury, impaired sensation or circulation, are pregnant, use an implanted medical device, or are uncertain whether a product is suitable for you.
5. Suction-mounted bars and accessories
Suction performance depends on the surface, cleanliness, moisture, installation method, seal condition, product design, and force applied. Install only on a smooth, clean, non-porous surface that meets the product instructions.
- Clean and dry the mounting surface before installation.
- Follow all locking, indicator, and installation instructions.
- Test the attachment firmly before every use.
- Reinstall the product whenever the seal weakens or the product moves.
- Do not install across grout lines, textured surfaces, loose tiles, damaged surfaces, or another surface not identified as suitable.
A suction-mounted product should not be treated as a permanently installed, structurally anchored, weight-rated grab bar unless the product page and supplied documentation expressly confirm that purpose and rating. Do not rely on it to support full body weight or prevent a fall when that use is not specifically supported.
6. Bath and shower mats
Place mats only on compatible, clean surfaces and follow the product’s positioning and care instructions. Check that suction cups or non-slip backing are secure before use. Soap, water, oils, cleaning residue, textured surfaces, worn materials, and incorrect placement can reduce grip. No mat can eliminate every risk of slipping.
7. Reacher and grabber tools
Use a reacher only within the product’s stated dimensions, load guidance, and intended purpose. Keep fingers away from moving joints and gripping mechanisms. Do not use the tool to lift people, hot items, sharp objects, live electrical components, or loads beyond the stated capability.
8. Bags and carry products
Review the listed dimensions, materials, strap design, and care information. Avoid overloading the bag. Inspect straps, handles, seams, zippers, and fasteners regularly, and stop use if a component becomes damaged or weakened.
9. Children and vulnerable users
Keep packaging, cords, controllers, small parts, and products that are not intended for children out of their reach. Appropriate supervision may be required depending on the user, product, environment, and activity.
10. Cleaning, storage, and modification
Follow the product-specific cleaning and storage instructions. Disconnect electrical products from power before cleaning when instructed. Do not cut, puncture, rewire, bend, drill, sew, or otherwise modify a product unless the manufacturer expressly permits the modification.
11. Product variations
Minor differences in colour, texture, stitching, packaging, dimensions, controls, or appearance may occur because of manufacturing processes, supplier updates, or device displays. Product images may include props or contextual items. Only the selected product and variant identified in the order are included unless expressly stated otherwise.
12. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items
If an item arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or materially different from the product ordered, stop using it and contact Pettels promptly. Include the order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping label where relevant.
13. Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pettels is not responsible for injury or damage caused by misuse, unsuitable installation, use beyond stated specifications, lack of inspection, unauthorized modification, continued use of a damaged product, or failure to follow applicable instructions. Nothing in this guide excludes consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
